Aged Leather Paint Finish

I took three thrift store treasures and applied the same EASY paint treatment to all of them.  It has a great look to it, looks like aged brown leather to me.  I loved the results and wanted to share them with you.  I will tell you how to do it after the pictures below.

After cleaning the pieces, I sprayed them with Rustoleum brown spray paint.  After that dried, I took some black craft acrylic paint and water it down so it was very thin.  I painted it on and then wiped it off so it mainly stayed in the grooves and crevices.  Easy huh?  The craft paint has a very flat finish and my spray paint was a semi gloss so it was easy to wipe off.  It would be harder to wipe off on a flat paint, just like glazing.  You could use glaze, but craft paint is way cheaper.  I sprayed a finish  cleat coat on them to even out the finish.

Thanks for visiting,
Selina
