Market Ready #4

Cute vintage owls

More owls, carved this time

I love these little book ends!

It wouldn't hurt my feeling to keep either the platter or the vases, but I will try to sell them :)

Wait until you see what else I picked with this, I am
keeping some of it!

These sell well for me, I will paint it for the customer who
bought it.

A whole gallery wall for a cute nautical theme!

These would be a great start or finish to a shabby romantic look.

Old commercial shelving.

I am taking custom orders for these junky plaques.
I've done an R, E, and P.

One Sweater = Five pumpkins

I've seen some beautiful pumpkins made from old sweaters all over Pinterest this fall.  I wanted to try it and challenged myself to only use what I had on had. I know some of my projects would come out better if I didn't throw down that challenge, but that is how I do things!   I had one creamy white cable knit sweater that was just too big and it was sitting in my "donate" basket.  I had 3 light globes sitting around waiting on some other project I can't remember and I had some embroidery hoops.

I love these and I get lots of use out of my thrift store metal freezer basket above.  And I'm already thinking those embroidery hoops below will turn into cute ornaments with a change of it's cable knit next month.

Don't you love those little white ceramic pumpkins I found early this Fall at Dollar tree?

Market Ready #3

I am almost certain these would sell painted shabby white, but sometimes I like to try to sell them before I redo them and I love it when it sells like that, we'll see.

Apothecary jars are a good seller for me!

I am glad to see other people love old suitcases as much as I do, I  love finding them and adding them to my booth.

30 Days of Thrift Store Decor Day 6-10

Day 6- I found the middle cloche, the plates and the numbers all from thrift stores.  The other two "cloches" are from the Dollar Tree!  The large mirror is also from the thrift store.  The lanterns and the mirrors were all taken out of my house during a remodel and turned into what they are today.  This look was free or cheap!

Day 7- I loved the cabinet when I fist spotted it at a thrift store, I talked them down to $50.  I can tell it once had doors, but I don't care.  At least half the stuff on the shelves is also from a thrift store.  I have no more room for elephants and I have to keep telling my boys that or I would get tacky elephants for every gift giving occasion, lol!

Day 8- This is my oldest son's room and such a cheap idea.  Thrift store frames painted to match and free internet images!  The octopus is my favorite! I don't know whey it looks crooked in this picture!!

Day 9- This was missing a piece of veneer and the mirror but things like don't bother me but do help me get a good price, $4.00!  I just added some rusty wire to the back of this thrift store treasure and hung it in the hall.

Day 9 - I feel like I'm cheating when I show you a picture that only has one thrift store item in it, but hey this trunk is fabulous and oh so cheap!  It holds a hanging file system perfectly so this is my filing cabinet which for now sits in a dining room corner!

Check back for 5 more days next week!  You can see them daily on instagram @selingj or on  my facebook  page.

30 Days of Thrift Store Decor- Days 1-5

Follow everyday on instagram SELINAGJ

Day 1- A cool old toolbox sits in my bay window is filled with thrift store dishes.

Day 2- An old windowI filled with pallet wood is complimented with shutters, pitchers and sweet sign- all from the thrift store.

Day 3- The small basket was a gift and the large elephant carving came from a consignment store for a good price, BUT everything else came from a thrift store.

Day 4- A windowless half bath does not photograph well- it looks so much better in person. These metal panels and the frame were painted, less than $1 for each thing

Day 5- My little thrift store cabinet was the perfect spot to display my cobalt glass and some more blue and white in my dining room.  50% of the shelf contents did come from a thrift store!

Come back next week to see 5 more days of thrift store decor.
